The Power of Curiosity

As you feel your curiosity diminish, so do you feel your will to live subside.

  1. That's true, to be curious is to want to live. But to want to live is not to be curious, persé. :P You can enjoy life just because you enjoy the things you do.

  2. Sure, you *can* still enjoy things, but not as much, and it is especially difficult to find new things to enjoy. Just think of opening a new book and being sufficiently curious to want to read on. When you lack curiosity, you might just put the book away after reading to page five, just to provide an example. Also, with receding curiosity you lose much of your sense of wonder at things, causing you to shrug disinterestedly instead of utter a 'Wow...' at just about everything...

  3. Very true. As a child we have so much curiosity in us and wonder at the world around us. As we grow, that curiosity dies each day, because of the way we tend to live our lives.
