Fix This Person!
People act like having a death wish is like having a disease that needs to be cured. But what if life is the disease? Aren't we the illness, the virus, destroying this beautiful planet?
Why should life's goal be striving for happiness? Is there even such a thing? Is there any purpose to life at all? Isn't it all just randomness, with people trying to find meaning nonetheless? Wouldn't nothingness be preferable to this eternal battle that is called life?
You have to play the game to understand why you're playing the game! The lack of purpose you see is your interpretation of the game of life. Not the reality.
everyone has their own interpretation of reality as well. Their own reality. And it's very real to them.
You don't need to be happy. You don't need to have a purpose either. Once you realize that you don't need a purpose to live you might be able to live just as well without searching for meaning in life. There are those little tiny things that, when you look closely, you just marvel at the way they are, how amazing they are. You can just be fascinated by those tiny little things around you, rather than constantly looking inwards trying to find your place among them...
Life isn't a game. Nothing can be won; nothing can be lost. And we are no illness, destroying anything. We just are, and we change an object. Does that mean we're destroying? No, we're not. Is that so-called destruction inflicted on something beautiful? No, it's not. It only is in a subjective sense, and perhaps even in an intersubjective sense. Objectively speaking, however, all it is, is that it is. It is nothing else than *existing*. That's all there is to all there is. It just is.
We just want you to be happy; I'm sorry if we make you feel like you are broken and need to be fixed.

What IS reality, exactly?
ReplyDeleteAnd is this a game you *have* to continue playing even if you have only one hotel left and no hope of winning?
